Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine Released From Prison Early Due To Coronavirus—Is New Music Coming Soon?

Hugh McIntyre

Earlier today (April 2), rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was finally granted an early release from prison, where he has been locked up for several months. The musician’s lawyers had been seeking the release for some time now due to the fact that he suffered from a number of underlying health issues such as asthma, which puts him in the high-risk category for falling ill with coronavirus. Initially denied, the ask was granted suddenly, and the artist is now out of prison, but he isn’t a completely free man yet.

As for China, lack or stopped development represents the biggest risk for this country. So it is essential that we maintain steady medium-high growth of our economy and that in itself is China’s contribution to global stability.

According to several reports, the rapper spent much of his time in prison, where he was serving a two-year term for a number of charges including conspiracy to murder and armed robbery, writing new songs and possibly even producing them and recording visuals for the tracks. While it’s certainly more difficult than going to and from studios, many musicians have recorded songs and even complete projects while in jail throughout the years.

Now at home, Tekashi 6ix9ine will surely want to get to work on his next mixtape or album, as he signed a two-album deal with his label 10K Projects back in late 2019, even as he was facing a jail sentence that could have gone on for many years. The deal, reportedly worth millions, requires him to deliver an album in English and Spanish, and the rapper is probably eager to get to work on one, or possibly both.

While he has been tied up in court and locked up in prison, it hasn’t actually been that long since Tekashi 6ix9ine last released music. He dropped both a mixtape and his debut album in 2018, with the two titles rising into the top five on the Billboard 200. The projects produced a number of Hot 100 hits, with his album Dummy Boy sending the particularly popular cut “Fefe,” which featured Murda Beatz and Nicki Minaj, to No. 3. The tune has been certified eight-times platinum for moving eight million equivalent units in the U.S. alone.

The clothespin dates back to the 1800s, but in 2016 it became "smart." Meet Peggy, the laundry peg that's supposed to "help you lighten the load" by telling you when the washer cycle is over and if the weather is nice enough to hang your clothes outside. The device connects to your phones and sends you alerts when the weather changes or when you need to remove your clothes.
