It's not possible to 'fail' any of the substories, meaning the Bronze Story of My Life trophy isn't missable no matter how you complete them, but the choices you make in some of the substories may affect the reward you get.

This guide is intended to be used as you're playing through the game as it indicates which substories/friendships become available during certain parts of the story. This is mostly for people who would rather tackle these things as they come, but it should be of some use to people who decide to complete them after the fact too.

Equipping the Trouble Finder accessory will mark all available substories on your map, but this can't be obtained until later on. If you don't have access to it yet or would rather have something else equipped, refer to the images below for all substory locations.

Chapter 2 - Kazuma Kiryu

The following substories become available after your first encounter with Mr. Shakedown when your objective is to head home.

Arakure Quest (#2)

Starting Point: Nakamichi Street

Prerequisites: None

Reward: Sunburst (Weapon)

As you make your way down Nakamichi Street, you should notice a group of people standing in a queue. Talk to the boy at the back and then enter the store. Once you leave, you'll see that the queue has now gone. Speak to the boy again who's not far from where you spoke to him the first time and you'll be tasked with getting his video game back. Follow the exclamation marks on the map to reach the conclusion. Just be prepared for some fighting.

Kamurocho Undercover (#4)

Starting Point: The Champion District
Prerequisites: None

Reward: 9mm Automatic Pistol (Weapon)

Head to the Champion District and enter Shellac. Attempt to sit down on a stool and the reporter will start talking with you. Once the conversation is over, leave the bar and exit The Champion District. When you get far enough away, an exclamation mark (!) will appear over Shellac, so head back inside for another scene. It appears Kasuga has gotten himself into some trouble. Come to his rescue and you'll finish this substory.

Damned Yanki (#6)

Starting Point: Shichifuku Street West
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Wild Shirt (Armour), Krazy Kyo (Advisor)

Enter Shichifuku Street West from Theater Square and a strange man will bump into you, does his best to throw some insults at you, and then runs off. After that, make your way to Theater Square. A scene will occur, and then talk to the man again when he's hiding behind the pole. Accept his request and you'll have to give these wannabe yanki's some advice. For some answers that lead to the best possible outcome, look below.

  • "Hello," but in English.
  • Rescuing Puppies.
  • The time you crushed a gang.

How to Train Your Dominatrix (#7)

Starting Point: Pink Street North
Prerequisites: You need to complete "The Show Must Go On" (Substory #9) first

Reward: Fur Belly Warmer (Accessory), Masochistic Man (Security Guard), Ayu Sakurai's Gandhara Video

Towards the south of Pink Street North, you'll see a dominatrix standing over a man. Approach them and speak to the woman. You'll be interrupted by some street punks, and after defeating them, accept Ayu's request to let her practice S&M with you. You'll have to give her some advice. Look below for some answers that lead to the best conclusion.

Then you get to watch her put the advice you gave her to work. The answers you gave her earlier will affect the outcome. When the scene ends, so do does this substory.

Password Protected (#8)

Starting Point: Kamuro Shopping Area
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Broken M1985 (Weapon), Li Leung (Security Guard)

Enter the Kamuro Shopping Area and head south along the main path. You'll see two guys standing there, and getting close to them will trigger a scene. Talk to the merchant and go after the guy who left and ask him to tell you the password. Head over to Taihei Boulevard and ask her about her "Plans for today" and "Tomorrow's weather". You'll have a fight before she gives you her answers. Afterwards, return to  Li Leung and tell him what you heard. Those were "A movie date" and "Rain at noon." You'll receive the password for the merchant, so head on back to him and tell him the password (you have to type this in manually). The password is "Subotenuhigeukiro". Make sure to capitalise the S! This will complete the substory and you're now able to buy items from this merchant whenever you please.

The Show Must Go On (#9)

Starting Point: Nakamichi Alley
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Magnetic Necklace (Accessory)

Go to the intersection just south of the shrine and you'll be approached by two desperate members of a film crew who need your help. Accept their request, and after meeting with the director, you'll have to make some choices. Look below for some answers that lead to the best outcome.

  • Get Goofy.
  • Take the Food.
  • Tilt the Food at an Angle.
  • Remove the Dishes.

Miracle on Tenkaichi Street (#12)

Starting Point: Taihei Boulevard
Prerequisites: You need to complete "The Show Must Go On" (Substory #9) first

Reward:  Silent Shoes (Accessory) or Baseball Shirt (Armour), Spining (Manager)

Head to the Dream Machine on the far left of Taihei Boulevard and you'll overhear a conversation between two men who are discussing how the pop star Miracle is coming to town. After that's over, reload the area by entering and exiting a building (or just go far enough away), then go to the entrance of Theater Avenue (just across the street from where the two men were) and you'll see Kato from substory #9. Talk to him and accept his request to help with the zombie shoot.

The next part of this substory can be rather annoying on the higher difficulties. You need to escort Miracle down the street as he's being attacked by zombies. Be careful about going too far ahead of him. While it's possible to trigger the zombies early, it's also very easy for them to slip past you. The Beast battle style works well here, but if you haven't unlocked that yet, ranged weapons are also very effective, so make sure you equip them if you have any.

When that's over, MJ asks you a simple question; black or white? The black box gives you a pair of Silent Shoes which reduces the range at which enemies can spot you. The white box contains a Baseball Shirt. I would recommend going with the Silent Shoes because they're a lot harder to obtain.

Underneath it All (#17)

Starting Point: Shichifuku Street
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Sachiko (Manager)

As you're walking down Shichifuku Street, you'll overhear a couple having an argument. Talk to the boyfriend who believes his girlfriend is selling her body and agree to go investigate. Head over to Senryo Avenue and speak to the girlfriend. You'll have to make some dialogue choices. Here's what I went with.

  • This is all new to me.
  • Bottom.
  • 【大行报告】广发:建材行业2017上半年“价”强“量”弱

Mina will admit that she's been selling her used underwear, but she can't stop because of Sachiko. She describes what Sachiko looks like, so now you'll have to go over to the Hotel District and do your best to find her using the information you've been given. Sachiko is the girl with long black hair, wearing a blue scarf. When you speak to the right girl, you'll need to make some dialogue choices, but it doesn't matter what you say, so pick whatever you like. A man will start threatening Sachiko, so beat him up and then she agrees to shut down her burusera ring, ending this substory.

The Girl in the Video (#24)

Starting Point: Gandhara
Prerequisites: You need to watch three videos at Gandhara

Reward: Video Boy (Security Guard), Riona Minami's Gandhara Video

Watching three videos at Gandhara will unlock this substory (you can rewatch the same video). For information on how to acquire these videos, check Bronze ...I Did It for the Trophy. After your third time watching a video, enter Gandhara again for a scene. The guy here is obsessed with one of the girls in the video and he asks you to watch it with him. Accept his offer and he'll explain how he's in love with the girl in the video and he'd like you to find her for him.

Head over to Kanrai and you'll spot a familiar looking girl exiting the restaurant. Return to Gandhara (just outside) and tell the man where you saw her. Go back over to Kanrai and the two will meet up, but the encounter doesn't go very well. Some thugs will start harrasing the woman and Kiryu will step in to defend her. After defeating them, she'll fall in love with Kiryu instead, then this substory ends.

Don't Dance Alone (#28)

Starting Point: Maharaja Kamurocho
Prerequisites: You need to finish three songs at Maharaja Kamurocho

Reward: N/A

After finishing your third song at Maharaja Kamurocho (it doesn't matter if you pass or fail the songs), you'll be challenged to a dance battle. Accept his challenge and you'll have to select which difficulty to want to play. It doesn't matter which one you pick, so if you're not very confident, just pick easy. Even if you fail, you're given another chance. Beating him will end this substory.

Technique to Die For (#29)

Starting Point: Maharaja Kamurocho
Prerequisites: You need to complete "Don't Dance Alone" (Substory #28) first

Reward: N/A

Enter Maharaja Kamurocho and make your way to the bar to trigger an event. You'll be challenged to another dance battle, but this time it's against a more challenging opponent. It's the same deal as the last substory where you can pick whatever difficulty you like, and even if you lose, you can just try again. Defeating your opponent will end this substory.

Maharaja Showdown (#30)

Starting Point: Maharaja Kamurocho
Prerequisites: You need to complete "Technique to Die For" (Substory #29) first

Reward: Isobe Fan (Item)

Enter Maharaja Kamurocho and go speak to Maiko and Hisaaki near the dance floor. They tell you to go challenge Ogita, the best dancer in Kamurocho. He can be found in the VIP lounge. As is the case with the other dance-related substories, you can play on any difficulty and even if you lose, you're able to challenge him again. This will be your toughest opponent yet. Check out Bronze Say You Wanna Dance for some tips if needed. Once you beat Ogita, you can either praise or insult him. Feel free to pick whatever you like. This concludes Kiryu's dancing-related substories.

The Stop-and-Search Specialist (#46)

Starting Point: Senryo Avenue North
Prerequisites: None

Reward: N/A

When you walk near the south of Senryo Avenue North, you'll be stopped by a police officer who wants to search you in order to make sure you're not carrying anything dangerous. Simply hand something over to finish this substory; it doesn't matter what. Even if you hand something over that would be considered dangerous, Kiryu manages to talk his way out of it. You'll get the item back once this is over. The substory ends after the conversation and this unlocks Officer Kikuchi as a friend.

The Mushroom Merchant (#47)

Starting Point: Park Alley
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Enokitake (Recovery Item)

Make your way to the "L" shaped part of Park Alley and you'll find a guy in a red hoodie standing there. Talk to him and he'll offer Kiryu some mushrooms which he then declines. Then a hooligan will approach the merchant which is when it becomes clear that the mushrooms he's selling aren't of the illegal kind. The hooligan will attack you, and after defeating him, the substory ends. This also unlocks Kitajima as a friend.

Miho, Convenience Store Clerk (#51)

Starting Point: Poppo Tenkaichi St.
Prerequisites: None

Reward: N/A

Enter the Poppo Mart on Tenkaichi street and purchase something from the clerk. Afterwards, she'll introduce herself, and once the scene is over, you'll finish the substory and unlock Miho as a friend.

Emiri, Mach Bowl Receptionist (#52)

Starting Point: Mach Bowl
Prerequisites: None

Reward: N/A

Enter the Mach Bowl near Theater Square and play a game of bowling. It doesn't matter if it's solo, against the staff, or the number of frames you choose. When you're done, Emiri will have a conversation with you, finishing this substory and unlocking her as a friend.

Sushi Gin's Chef (#53)

Enter Sushi Gin and order something. Afterwards, the chef will talk with you, ending this substory and unlocking him as a friend.

Luka at SEGA HI-TECH LAND (#54)

Starting Point: SEGA HI-TECH LAND Nakamichi
Prerequisites: None

Reward: N/A

Enter SEGA HI-TECH LAND on Nakamichi Street and play Out Run (the racing game). After the time runs out, it will send you back to the "Insert Credits" screen. Exit the game by pressing Touch Pad. You'll be approached by Luka, finishing the substory and unlocking her as a friend.

Kamoji's Training (#90)

Starting Point: Shichifuku Parking Lot
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Kamoji (Rush Ability Master)

As you approach Shichifuku Parking Lot (on Shichifuku Street East), you'll be stopped by Kamoji who will explain how his challenges work. This ends the substory and allows you to do training with Kamoji.

Apex Predator (#92)

Starting Point: (There is no fixed location)
Prerequisites: None

Reward: (There is no fixed cash reward)

You'll find this Mr. Shakedown wandering around Kamurocho randomly. He's the guy who's built like a tank and beats money out of you. His name is Egashira. He's hard to miss since he has a giant money counter above his head and towers above the other NPC's. You need to defeat him to finish this substory. Check Bronze Mr. Shakedown Takedown for some tips on how to beat him. If you don't want to waste time looking for him, you can wait until you get the Encounter Finder accessory from "Miracle in Maharaja" (Substory #23) as this marks him on your map, although that substory can't be completed until Chapter 5.

A Dream Unfulfilled (#93)

Starting Point: (There is no fixed location)

You'll know when you find him; he's wearing a bright purple jacket. You must beat him to finish the substory.

That's part of the logic, anyway, behind the unlikely candidacy of Ethan Sonneborn, a 13-year-old running for governor of Vermont, one of just two states with no minimum age requirement for the office.

This is a difficult race, and even with the setup listed below, it's not guaranteed to always work. Make sure to stabilise only as much as you need to. There is some luck involved, so keep trying and you'll eventually win. Once you do, you'll be applauded for your efforts and this substory will end.

Check below for some answers that lead to the best outcome.

  • Shout, "Look, a UFO!"

Make your way to Sotenbori Street East (near Magutako) and someone will call out to you. This is the guy who you've been looking for and you're his next target! After the fight, you'll learn that the botan hunter is none other than Ryuji (from Yakuza 2) and despite his build, he's still just a kid. You'll get the trousers he stole from the high school kid, so make your way back to his location on Bunzaemon Outdoor Mall and interact with him. Afterwards, you'll have to go back to where you fought Ryuki (near Magutako) to help him out with the kids looking for revenge. Go to the park and you should see a man in green standing around the centre looking at a woman and child. Speak to him to trigger a scene and then interact with him again. Leave the area (you don't need to go far) and return when the exclamation mark (!) appears on the map. Akatani is back, so go and speak with him again. You're given a dialogue option, but it doesn't matter what you pick. After the scene, Majima notices a couple of shady guys eying up Akatani before running off.

Leave the area again and return when the exclamation mark (!) is back. This time you'll find the mother alone, so go speak with her. It seems Yusuke has gone missing. Exit the park to the Buzaemon Outdoor Mall and go south. You'll find Yusuke standing around, so go up to him to trigger the event. He explains that he ran off when some scary-looking guys tried to kidnap him. Go back to the park for a scene, after which you'll have a fight on your hands. After the next scene is over, the substory will end.

Accept her request and just a short walk away near the top of Ashitaba Park you'll see the two people in white you saw earlier. Go and speak with them and answer with "I want to join the Order of Munan Chohept Onast".

After a scene, you'll be in the cultist hideout. Speak with Iori and choose "Call Her Iori". It looks like this cult screws with the memories of their disciples so she can't remember her family. Later on, you'll be offered another choice. Go with "Say It with the Pose". You'll learn that not only is the cult leader taking money from these chumps, but he has his pick of the women too! Then you'll be asked a series of questions. See below for the correct answers.

  • Onast
  • Shooreh Pippi
  • 自如将全面布局成都整栋公寓市场
  • Munan Suzuki

You'll be taken to the Suzuki where he'll give you a Crystal, assuming you answered the questions correctly. He'll then tell you to leave so he can perform some "special Shooreh Pippi" with Iori. Tell Iori that "Your mom's gonna be heartbroken!" which will make the guru mad and he'll fight you. After defeating him, you'll watch a scene, after which this substory will end.

Calling the Future (#55)

Starting Point:  Sotenbori Street West
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Shoulder Bag Save Point

Go to the save point on Sotenbori Street West and interact with it. This will trigger a scene where Majima notices a man using a shoulder bag phone who offers you a chance at giving it a try. Accept his offer, but unfortunately for you, the battery is dead. You'll need to head over to Don Quijote and buy a new one for 100 yen.

Return to Idozuka and hand over the battery. Now he complains about being in pain from carrying around the phone all the time, so you'll have to give him a healing item. He thanks you, but before you're able to use the phone, some punks come over and knock Idozuka to the ground. After the fight, Majima will try the phone, but once again it doesn't work. Not wanting Majima to go away empty handed after everything he's done, Idozuka says to come meet him outside M Store Shofukucho shortly. Just enter and exit a shop and he will show up. Speak with him again to end the substory which also unlocks him as a save point.

A Taxing Issue (#56)

Starting Point: Hoganji Yokocho
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Primeval Spirit Stone (Accessory)

Just outside the temple, you should see a group of guys standing around. Approach them to trigger an event. The guy in the green suit is being harassed, so go ahead and intervene. This causes them to turn their anger on you. After the fight, Taiyo asks for you some advice on taxation policy. He'll take you somewhere to ask some questions. Check below for the best answers.

  • To provide public services.

Stadium Jumper Strut (#58)

Starting Point: Bunzaemon Outdoor Mall
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Encounter Finder (Accessory)

Near the entrance to Sotenbori Footpath East, you'll find a man on the floor. Speak to him and you'll have to hand over a healing item to help him recover. He tells you that his dream is to cross the bridge without getting beaten up, and he wants you to help make this a reality Accept his request, and after the conversation, you'll have to escort him across the bridge.

This can be rather tricky on the harder difficulties. I would recommend using the Slugger battle style here because it handles multiple enemies well. Ranged weapons will also help if you find yourself in a  tight spot.

After defeating them, Suda will thank you and hands over the Encounter Finder accessory as a reward. When equipped, this accessory will mark enemies on the map including the Mr. Shakedown's.

Starting Point: Shofukucho West
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Errand Boy's Services, Emi (Hostess)

When heading down Shofukucho West, go to the entrance of Hoganji Yokocho and a man will bump into you and then run off. Make your way to M Store Shofukucho and talk to him again. Hand over a healing item and he'll explain that the reason he's been running around all over the place is because he's doing errands for a girl he likes.

After the conversation, leave the area (a short way down the street should be fine) and make your way back once the exclamation mark (!) appears. He complains about his shoes and how he can't afford new ones, so you'll need to go buy some for him which can be found at Don Quijote for ¥2,000. Return to Erran-kun and give him the sneakers. He thanks you and runs off again. You need to get far enough away from this area to the point where the exclamation mark (!) appears back on your map.

Once again, Erran-kun is injured, and this time he asks you to deliver the stuff in his place. Accept his request and make your way to the Sotenbori Footpath (behind Zuboraya) to meet with this woman. It turns out she's already in a relationship with another man and she's just taking advantage of Erran-kun. Majima decides to put a stop to this and her boyfriend will challenge you to a fight. After this is over, Erran-kun will arrive and you're given the option of telling him the truth or lying about what happened. No matter what you choose, the outcome doesn't change. The substory ends after the scene is over and you'll be able to send Erran-kun out on errands, although this isn't particularly useful.

Toilet Talk (#64)

Starting Point: Ashitaba Park
Prerequisites: None

Reward: Calming Towel (Accessory), Rina Ito's Gandhara Video

Go to the toilets in Ashitaba Park and you'll be given the option to go inside. Do so, and while using the facilities, Majima will comment on the graffiti. He'll notice some writing that looks like it was done by a girl. Write a reply on the wall and then enter and exit the Utahime Karaoke Bar (it can be any building but that's closest). Walk a short distance away so the exclamation mark (!) appears on your map and then return to the takoyaki stand. Interact with the queue again and the old bag will cut in front of you, but this time with a friend. Choose to shove them aside, although this doesn't go as planned.

Leave the area once again and then return to the takoyaki stand in order to trigger another event. The old woman is up to her tricks once again, but her target is having none of it and pulls a knife! Majima steps in to defend her, and after defeating him, she decides to "reward" you with a kiss. This ends the substory.

Accept her challenge and you'll have to beat her on any of the difficulties. This can be quite hard and there is a certain amount of RNG involved (her score can vary wildly). Refer to Bronze Say You Wanna Dance for some tips.

When you've won, you'll see a scene and you're asked if you like dancing or not. It doesn't matter how you respond to this one. This ends Majima's dancing-related substories.

Accept and you can ask about Kryu's future, family, and career. It doesn't matter what you choose here as you need to pick them all anyway. For every option you pick, she asks her own question in return. If you've played the other Yakuza games, you'll know how to respond, but if not, just look below for the correct answers.

  • My future - Take my friend's place.
  • My family - 10 billion yen.

At the entrance, the delivery guy will hand you the pizza, then need to return to the woman before it gets cold (this takes 1 minute and 30 seconds). Your speed is significantly reduced, but so long as you take the most direct route back to her in The Champion District, you should have plenty of time remaining. Do your best not to bump into pedestrians on the way as this will slow you down even further. Once you get back to her, you'll learn that it wasn't a pizza she asked for, but a visa! After this, head back inside Shellac and the bartender tells Kiryu that the last time he saw Kasuga was when you two were drinking together, which makes Kiryu feel uneasy. Head on back to Pink Alley once again and you'll see Kasuga on the floor. Approach him for a scene, then a man from the ring shows up and starts a fight with you. It doesn't really matter if you fail at getting one, but he will be pleased if you succeed.

After the dance, MJ will once again ask you to pick the black or white box as your reward. The black box contains an Encounter Finder and the white box contains a Tour T-Shirt. Starting Point: Hotel District
Prerequisites: None

Go to the north of the Hotel District and you'll see a man standing next to a pole. Approach him and he'll tell you that he's been watching this girl because he believes it's his daughter who he hasn't seen in 15 years. Agree to help find out if it's really her or not and you'll be taken to the hostess club automatically. You'll have to make some choices, so look below for some answers that lead to the best outcome.

  • 传统家具业观念束缚致创新争论大
  • Do you have any roommates?
  • Your father's not around?

You'll watch a scene where it's revealed she isn't actually his daughter, just someone who resembles her a lot, but I guess it worked out in the end since he just becomes her sugar daddy instead. This ends the substory.

The Shrink-wrapped Dream (#11)

Starting Point: Tenkaichi Alley
Prerequisites: None

Reward: N/A

Head over to Tenkaichi Alley and you'll see a boy standing around. Interact with him and he explains how he wants to buy something from a "super cool" vending machine, but he can't because it's down a dark alley. Offer to buy it for him, after which you'll learn that the kid is trying to get you to buy an adult magazine. After being guilt tripped, Kiryu decides to go through with getting him a magazine.

The next part requires some Metal Gear Solid-style stealth to avoid being seen purchasing the magazine from the vending machine. Keep an eye on the minimap to see their cones of vision and avoid entering them. There are three "obstacles" you need to avoid. Two women standing near the entrance to the alley, Marina wandering around outside, and two more women standing next to the vending machine. When you see your chance, don't hesitate to make a break for it. You can try as many times as you need to. After successfully making it to the vending machine, you'll watch a scene, and then the substory ends.

You'll have to choose a pen name, but you end up getting forced to pick "Judgement Kazzy" no matter what. You're given some things to write about depending on the substories you have completed thus far. To finish this substory, you need to have your postcard read out on air but only some of the choices result in that. Look below for the ones that do.

Eleven James:
“她自己也很喜欢。我们不会强迫她做任何她不想做的事情。”
Big and brassy! Paul McCartney (yes, yes, and also Wings) ushered in a new era of James Bond movies with the theme to Live and Let Die, sending the series careening into a 1970s musical sound as the franchise rebranded itself with a new leading man, Roger Moore. This is an almost maniacally excited song. The melody shifts and spirals and builds and sinks and hardly gives the listener a chance to get their bearings. It's a thrill.

After the event for showing him 30 telephone cards, find him again at one of the locations and you'll find him in pain. It turns out he's having a hard time doing that thing he usually likes doing and he needs your help to find the girl of his dreams. You'll find this "woman" inside Earth Angel in the Champion District, so head on over there.

When you enter, Kiryu notices the transvestite at the bar and wonders if that will do the trick for Akimoto. Now head on back to Akimoto for a scene where Kiryu tells him about the bar. It will fade to black and Akimoto will return extremely satisfied. When that's over, the friendship gauge raises to max.

Mr. Moneybags - Fukushima

Location: Vincent
How to Begin: Complete "Kamurocho's Mr. Moneybags" (Substory #49)
Reward: The ability to exchange money between the two main characters

You raise Fukushima's friendship gauge by investing money with him. Once his fee has been deducted, you will be able to collect this money as Majima where he'll be able to invest money back with the Mr. Moneybags in Sotenbori. Until the friendship gauge is full, you're only able to do this once before the other main character has to collect this money.

The first amount you invest is ¥10,000,000 (ten million), then ¥100,000,000 (one hundred million), then ¥1,000,000,000 (one billion), and lastly ¥10,000,000,000 (ten billion). Refer to Bronze Mr. Shakedown Takedown for an effective money farming method. Since raising the friendship gauge requires interaction from both main characters, it isn't possible to max it until near the end of the game since you can't switch between them at will until later on. Once the relationship gauge is at max, you can freely exchange money from this Mr. Moneybags to the other one.

The first one you need to catch is Chestnut the Squirrel (Red). After giving her one, she's delighted and remarks that nobody besides her mother has given her a present before.

The second one you need to catch is Chestnut the Squirrel (Blue). When you give it to her, again, she's really happy about it and says how jealous the other kids at school will be of her. She also insists on calling you daddy, and no matter what dialogue option you pick, he gives in either way.

The third one you need to catch is Bunchan the Java Sparrow (Pink). After handing it over, she thanks you and mentions how all these dolls make her feel less lonely at home.

Story Event
When the last item has been handed over, the friendship gauge will be at around 80%. Reload the area by entering and then exiting a building and approach the girl. Majima will notice that she's crying and upon further inspection, the Bunchan toy you gave her has been messed up. She mentions that her mother was taken down by the away by some scary men and Majima automatically travels to the location.

Here you'll fight with the two men and rescue her mother. The Doll Girl mentions that Majima was the one who was giving her all of the dolls and her mother is extremely grateful for it. How to Begin: Complete "STIJL's Barkeep" (Substory #80)

The Alertness Hood accessory helps with this too if you have one.

Return to the woman and give her the food, after which she'll hand over the videotape.

When you arrive at Sotenbori Footpath, you'll come across a group of three men. They quickly realise Majima's up to no good and start a fight with him. After defeating them, one of the men tells Majima that Simon is using him.

Go back to the telephone booth on Shofukucho South to speak with Simon. He admits that he was lying to Majima like the man from earlier suggested. Simon reveals that the men were former colleagues of his and the deal you disrupted would have plunged Sotenbori in chaos. He then thanks you and says that he went through some extra trouble for Majima's last reward. When Majima exits the booth, a woman approaches him and asks to be a hostess for his business. Once the scene is over, the friendship gauge raises to max.
