Winter is coming, and this year it will arrive amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The world is preparing for a potentially bleak fall season, and, soon after, a dark winter where social gatherings might be limited and time spent outdoors will be few and far between.
The BFC's news has been met with support from people on social media, who have applauded the designers choosing to forgo the use of animal fur.

People aren’t the only ones preparing for the winter pandemic. The Wall Street Journal reports that grocers are stockpiling supplies and building “pandemic pallets” ahead of winter. The decision was made in order to deal with the holiday rush coming soon.
- “Supermarkets are stockpiling groceries and storing them early to prepare for the fall and winter months, when some health experts warn the country could see another widespread outbreak of virus cases and new restrictions,” according to The Wall Street Journal.
