American Crime Story: Katrina is not moving forward as planned. Ryan Murphy and FX have announced that instead of Katrina, the third season of American Crime Story will be titled Impeachment, and the miniseries will focus on Bill Clinton's relationship with Monica Lewinsky and subsequent impeachment proceedings.
“We tried developing that. It was just too vast and expensive. I ultimately just couldn’t figure out how to crack it to be honest," Murphy said about Katrina.
So I don't know what will happen in 2014--and neither does anyone else. What I imagine, though, looks like this:
Every great detective needs his or her definitive story. For Sherlock Holmes it was The Hound of the Baskervilles. For Agatha Christie’s fussy Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot it’s Murder on the Orient Express – a tale in which a bloodthirsty villain kills a wealthy businessman during a train journey through the Balkans. Or are things really what they seem? Sidney Lumet made a beloved film out of the story in 1974, with a stunning cast that included Sean Connery, Ingrid Bergman and Albert Finney as Poirot. Now Kenneth Branagh is donning the Belgian’s moustache himself, as well as stepping behind the camera as director, in his glossy new big-screen version, starring Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz and Dame Judi Dench. Is there something new that can be mined from this story? Maybe. But even if not, Christie fans will surely want to climb aboard. Released November 3 in the UK, November 10 in the US, China and Turkey, and November 30 in China's Hong Kong and Singapore. (Credit: 20th Century Fox)

Back in February of 2019, Deadline reported that indeed there will be future seasons of American Crime Story, but they are unlikely to center around Hurricane Katrina. FX CEO John Landgraf revealed that there are four ideas for the series in the works, but the order in which they will be made is unclear. (Though we now know that Impeachment is next.)
Few of the Fed's forecasts have proceeded according to plan over the course of the sharp economic downturn and choppy recovery, a fact that Fed officials now openly acknowledge. 'We have been disappointed in the pace of growth, and we don't fully understand why,' Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said at his final news conference last month.

Dr. Pou, who was slated to be played by Sarah Paulson, was later charged, alongside two ICU nurses, with the second-degree murder of those patients found with fatal amounts of morphine in their systems. A New Orleans grand jury declined to indict them on the charges.
"Doctors who started out trying to save lives, ended up euthanizing patients," executive producer Brad Simpson explained, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The original source material for the show came from The Great Deluge, by Douglas Brinkley. But Murphy chose to change the inspiration for the show to Sheri Fink's Five Days at Memorial. Fink's book documents the decisions made by the doctors during the crisis, as the hospital was left without power or an evacuation plan. Dr. Pou reportedly decided to leave 23 patients whom she expected would not make it with lethal amounts of morphine in their systems. The hospital ended up being evacuated the following day.
